How does a Nail LED lamp work?

A Nail LED lamp uses Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to produce specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the photoinitiators in the gel polish, causing it to cure or harden. The LED lamp emits a narrow range of light in the visible spectrum (usually in the blue range) that corresponds to the absorption spectrum of the photoinitiators in the gel polish.
When the photoinitiators absorb the light, they become excited and start a chemical reaction that causes the molecules in the gel polish to link together and harden. This process is known as photopolymerization.
LED lamps are generally more efficient and effective than UV lamps because they produce light at specific wavelengths that match the absorption spectra of the photoinitiators, whereas UV lamps emit a broader range of wavelengths that can cause unnecessary heat and skin damage. LED lamps also tend to cure gel polish more quickly than UV lamps, which can save time and reduce the risk of overexposure to UV radiation.
